Being a former healthcare professional, I don't believe that murderer Christa Pike survived two lethal Injections. I suspect that the doctor, nurse, or pharmacist who prepared the less than lethal injections was a scum leftist activist. The used vials/syringes should be tested!

The death penalty is barbaric and unworthy of a civilized country. It is not a deterrent, costs taxpayers more than lengthy incarceration, and is an affront to basic human rights.

Colleen Slemmer, who was begging for her life while being kicked in the face and her body and throat were being slashed with a box cutter, was told to shut up by Christa Pike, because “it’s harder to hurt somebody when they’re talking to you.” As Colleen was dying, Christa Pike asked, “Colleen, do you know who’s doing this to you?” Christa Pike showed frustration that Colleen “wouldn’t die” until she took a piece of asphalt and beat her skull in with it.

While everyone is focused on the failed execution of Christina Pike and the physician involved (who was also involved in another botched execution), let me tell you what is absolutely horrifying. The mother of Colleen Slemmer didn't even know that when she buried her daughter, not all of her daughter's remains were there. Some of Colleen's remains had been retained as evidence. Her mother had to go to the courthouse to retrieve her daughter's skull. She had to rebury her daughter. And then, over the years, other body parts were mailed to her by the medical examiner's office, meaning she had to go through the heartbreak of receiving and burying more of her daughter's remains. This woman had already endured the unimaginable horror of losing her daughter to a brutal crime. And even after the funeral, even after she thought she had laid her daughter to rest, she was repeatedly forced to confront that loss all over again. What in the world is wrong with a system that allows a grieving mother to find out this way that her child's remains were never all buried together? And for her mother to have to deal with actual body parts?! I cannot imagine how traumatizing that can be.

I am not defending her. She should obviously stay in jail for life. My point is that she shouldn’t get a death penalty because unlike many killers, she’s not a psychopath. After recieving proper psychological treatment and getting her disorders treated, she expresses regret.
