You know what's funny about this... it's that it's true, but at the same time, you need to take this a step further.
Aerith in OG asks them both, they deny it and she pursues Cloud and they fall in love. Tifa "watches" this happen according to the Ultimania.
But let's pretend you want to deny that happened...
Well, in Remake, Aerith knows everything. She asks only to go through the motions. She pursues Cloud regardless... Think about it.. Why would she do this?
Now, if it were true that Cloud and Tifa were canonically a couple in OG; why would the Whispers or Aerith care about any of this? Why would she need to go through the motions at all? Why wouldn't she just leave Cloud alone -- especially if she loves Zack, supposedly?
Notice how none of it makes any sense?
I hate her. Don't want someone as her as my BF.
She knows Tifa loves cloud and is flirting with him non stop. she is such a red flag.

When I saw Advent Children for the first time in 2005, I had no idea why it had to be so bleak and why everyone in that world, including Cloud, had to be miserable.
20 years later, I can't understand why fans seem to desperately return to that world rather than a better one?
Yes, in the end there is hope. But getting there required so much misery and despair Cloud had nearly succumb to Geostigma.
Why overlook the years getting to this point?
Moreover, much of the population is still stricken with Geostigma. Jenova and Sephiroth still exist. Misery and despair is still rampant in this dystopian nightmare for countless people.
Again, why would anyone ~want~ this?

FF7 Revelation Director Hamaguchi says the final Sephiroth battle will include Cloud’s OG final Omnislash limit break and will be “a very extravagant, all-out battle that will far and above surpass what was in Remake and Rebirth in what I believe will be a very satisfying encounter.“
He goes on to say that "we are putting in plenty of homages to the original, including to things like [that limit break]. We have crammed it full of everything that we can.” 👀

Jenna, this is just pure gaslighting and lies. It's been confirmed by multiple sources: the director, the mo-cap actor, even in-game. "Gui gui" and "chotto oneesan" describes a girl LIKE AERITH. Period. If you wanna have an opinion that's one thing, but I'm not gonna let you lie.
