Here's what immigrants are doing in B.C.: more than 800 doctors, nurses and health workers from the U.S. have moved here to care for British Columbians in our public system. 🚨 BREAKING : Justice Heather Perkins-McVey has formally DISMISSED Tamara Lich’s application to vary her conditional sentence and permit international travel for work. The judge made clear that this does not mean past travel permissions were breaches, nor that Lich failed to comply with them. Interprovincial travel within Canada can still be approved on a case-by-case basis by her conditional sentence supervisor. The judge also left the door open to a future court application only in “genuinely exceptional, specific, and time-limited circumstances.” For now, however, the conditional sentence order remains fully in force and the request for international travel is denied.
