the knob up top lets you reposition the two keyboards at different angles to one another then tighten it down and fix it
buckle spring switches in the original, but all I am asking for is hotswappable

"Will the scroll wheel wear out or start skipping over time?"
The G6 HE uses a 24-step optical encoder that detects wheel movement without physical contact. This reduces contact wear and helps lower the risk of missed steps or inconsistent scrolling over time.
