PARIS, I'M HOME. I'm very proud to announce KOI NO YOKAN, my very first solo exhibition in France, and in Paris! 🧵⤵️

Super stoked to officially announce: on July 4th, Artverse opens Koi No Yokan, the first Parisian solo show of artist POLYGON1993 curated by yours truly. After selling out across half a dozen galleries in Korea and Japan, this marks his first major step into the Parisian trad art world. The show is hybrid by design: — Immersive room downstairs: projection + new media installations — White cube upstairs: new, never-before-seen mid-to-large scale physical works — A dedicated collectibles section: an exclusive card drop tied to an upcoming NFT project, plus a new batch from his playable TCG Phantasm (alpha previewed at NFC Lisbon) Beyond the opening, expect activations for the Japanese, crypto, TCG, NFT and trad art communities. My goal: make this the most successful, cross-community show in the gallery’s history. I think we can pull it off. DM me to attend the preview or get the catalog. Fucking @NFCsummit. Took me a week to process it all Too many good people, too many laughs, too many great conversations, and definitely too much mezcal🤣 No hype, no noise, no loudmouth influencers, no bullshit. It finally felt real again Just creators, collectors, buidlers, weirdos, visionaries, friends building a better future. Just people still here because they actually give a shit It was a true honour to cross paths with so many of you 💎🙏🥂 (Yes, all pics were shamelessly stolen from your posts. I was too busy enjoying the moment to fuck around with my phone😛)

I realize now that I’ve always curated AND self-produced my own shows. Only recently in ETHCC Cannes I was hired to curated and was given a venue and budget to work with. But for all of my shows before that I always paid out of pocket everything and everyone. I paid for artwork production and framing, I’ve paid for shipping transportation and accommodation of my artists, I’ve paid for venue and booth, I’ve paid for food and beverage, I’ve paid for service, security and handling staff. I’ve never had and never looked for private or public sponsoring because to me that what a gallerist do ! (And I don’t even take 50%) And I realize I likely paid (despite being just a guy in his 20’s trying to do cool stuff ) much more thing than platforms whom have done funding rounds in millions and despite not having huge budget I manage to pull out show that had nothing to envy from the one they could organized. My NFT Paris booth was quite an example of that, managed to make one of the most memorable booth of the edition with less than 5000€. I didn’t cut cost, just did a lot myself, had quote in the 5 figures range for the booth, ended up buying and cutting the wood myself and building the wall myself. Countless of exemples, more my next show schedule to open in July in Paris I’ll be doing that all over again but to a much higher degree. I think I’m done trying to make gold with copper and working with peanuts budgets. I want to try my luck commuting 5 figure budget, making precious gem from raw diamonds and I got to admit for the first time I’ve been thinking of getting sponsors. With a 20% commission (got a gallery partner) I need to sell more than I ever did just to keep the light on, but I guess that’s what conviction in an artist is ! I’m all in ! gm Little chaotic @NFCsummit dump 💃 It was one of my favourite NFT events ever. The new venue, the maturing of the space, the mix of old and new friends, something really great happened here. So first kudos to @johnkarp @OmletteMerve @flakoubay and the whole of NFC for this.
