This is incredible.
Pedro Martinez convinced the Red Sox to sign David Ortiz in 2003 They randomly were in the same restaurant after Big Papi got released from the Twins 🤯

Contact and results in baseball can come down to the slightest of margins. The bat speed, pitch speed, type of pitch, barrel contact, etc etc etc…. Two very similar batted balls… where Will was probably a mm of barrel off, and a 1000th of a sec behind. Will Smith Pitch - 99.5 mp 4-seamer Hit - 217 feet, 15 degrees, 88.5 mph Braden Montgomery Pitch - 94.2 mph 4-seamer Hit - 219 feet, 11 degrees - 101.4 mph

The Brewers and Rays have a magic formula. Basic fundamentals and unselfish players. The majority of other organizations would rather lose trying to outsmart the competition with space station lunacy and scientific jargon.

Eight teams have played 12 LDS games thus far. Their combined slash line: .174/.277/.295 /.572 ---------------------------------------- The Dodgers have the highest BA (.215) and OPS (.743) of any team. There have been a total of 11 home runs hit. The Dodgers have 5. Anyway... Hitting in the postseason is hard.

The comedy of small sample sizes and the overreactions after 2 postseason games: Take Ohtani... One more hit and he's 3 for 8 (.375). Nobody is fussing about that. But he's 2 for 8 (.250), and it's "What's wrong with him?!" And then you have Will Smith, who is 0 for 8, and could easily be 3 for 8 with 3 RBIs already, if a a couple of grounders in the hole get through and a liner to right doesn't land foul. All of this is so dumb.

Seeing comments about how the Dodgers offense is struggling because they’re old, lol The oldest players are literally dominating the younger players. 2026 NLDS — Dodgers Through Games 1 & 2 PLAYERS AGED 33+ Miggy (37) • Freddie (36) • Max (35) • Mookie (33) • Teo (33) COMBINED STATS 32 PA 9-for-28 .321 / .406 / .786 / 1.192 4 HR • 5 RBI • 6 R 1 2B • 4 BB • 7 K ————————————————————— PLAYERS AGED 32 AND UNDER Ohtani (32) • Will Smith (31) • Tommy Edman (31) • Tucker (29) • Pages (25) • De Paula (21) COMBINED STATS 39 PA 5-for-37 .135 / .179 / .216 / .396 1 HR • 2 RBI • 1 R 2 BB • 11 K Tucker (3 hits) and Ohtani (2 hits) account for all of the “young” group hits, and Tucker has the only RBIs and Runs scored.
