Very odd reply to @GameOverThirty there. It's entirely obvious what his point was and how it connects to what Ball said.

Mat’s original comment was a general take on Xbox’s market share vs any “relative split.” A reply then connected it to Tom’s reporting that Xbox was internally concerned. Mat saying he doesn’t see the connection, then getting sarcastic, is what made it look like mixed signals. That reading is fair from the thread, but it isn’t a clean “he agreed then walked it back.” Some see him pushing back only on the alarm-bells claim, not the numbers. The attitude is there, a direct contradiction isn’t clearly shown.
