“The Liberal government will vote against a Conservative private member’s bill seeking to restrict access to medical assistance in dying for those whose sole condition is a mental disorder and lay out its own position on next steps for Canada’s MAID regime.” The People’s Party is against MAID when mental illness is the only underlying condition. The request for medical aid in dying must come from the patient, who is in full possession of their mental faculties. It’s not the role of medical staff to promote euthanasia, as this amounts to pressuring the patient to end their life. It should be a criminal offense for a member of the medical staff to promote MAID.

The People’s Party position is clear: The government should not be in the business of providing prayer spaces for employees. If you want to pray, do it on your own time. And let’s be honest: opposing the creation of religious enclaves in public institutions is not "Islamophobia." It’s common sense. We need to stop prioritizing the religious practices of a minority over the neutrality of our public service. Enough of this obsession with identity politics. Let’s put Canadians first.

Canada's population growth just hit its lowest level since 1944-45. 0.5% growth. 189,425 people. StatCan calls it a "slowdown". I call it the inevitable result of finally admitting mass immigration was never sustainable. We have been warning against this for years. The PPC is the only party that will impose a MORATORIUM on immigration, deport ALL illegal immigrants, and put an end to the use of cheap foreign labour by big business. It’s the only way to put Canadian families first. A declining population is NOT the end of the world. It means relief for housing, healthcare, and wages. The real crisis is that young Canadians can't afford to start families.
