NEWS: Today, Knight Foundation and @villagemedia announced a new initiative to launch 15 digital newsrooms across three U.S. states.
The partnership brings Village's proven model for sustainable local journalism to communities where trusted local information is increasingly at risk.
These newsrooms will help strengthen their communities through local reporting, civic engagement, and support for local businesses and organizations. They will be locally focused, locally staffed, and, over time, locally owned.
