i made an FPS game in 4 days with some friends this past weekend for #gmtk2026
i love how the crazy transforming gun and enemies felt in the end. super proud of how much we got done in such a short time!
i just spent a few days and rewrote Sky Strife to work without a blockchain. now uses a cloudflare worker backed by a sql database. kinda amazed how easy it was to just shim all the blockchain interactions. check it out:
now that i have access to a real tick function i was able to get bots working, so no need to wait for other players. hard bot has decimated me every time i tried lol
how are people testing locally when using steam p2p networking? i feel stupid with two computers and two steam accounts next to each other.
i'm about to write a mock local-only steam networking layer, but this seems like overkill
There will be 3 matches + Captain match, all 1v1 fights in @skystrifeHQ 🥊
The guild war will be streamed at WASD discord with @Kooshaba, @BenGiove and @koheingt as commentators. Don't miss out!

This is the future of esports 🧵
i have officially replaced my morning coffee(s) with yerba mate and everything about it feels better. i now consider coffee the equivalent of doing meth and only do so in an emergency (or have some fun).
MOST BEAUTIFUL. Live demo!
Downstream combat is passed to Skystrife where a game is played and the result is sent back to Downstream. Nested gameplay loops across two onchain games.
