But what is the narrative we have been living with during this entire period, a narrative imposed on us from above? That only white people can be racist. That multiculturalism is an unalloyed good, that diversity is our greatest strength. That mass immigration is inevitable, valuable and should be encouraged, that we are nothing without it. That all cultures are equal, that they should not on any account by criticised, indeed should be celebrated. The need to enforce this narrative has shaped our public policy and politics for the whole of the 21st so far. A massive amount of capital, both intellectual and financial, has been expended in keeping it in place. It has dictated the direction of our whole society. If we can indeed reassess in the light of what we, and the world, now know, there is the real chance that we can end this era of lies, hostile ideology and utter demoralisation.
