If this post has taught me anything, it’s not that VGC scholarship/theory is underdeveloped — just that it’s decentralized. I think, unlike other games (think Magic the Gathering), we lack the landmark content that we can roll out to understand fundamental questions about mons.

Have any VGC-tubers broken down WHY the meta finally shifted with M-C? I’ve seen lots of talk about how, but nothing plainly contextualizing anything. Given all the outrage/panic on day 1 that nothing would change, feels like low hanging fruit. Possible I just missed it though.

I appreciate everyone offering to give me their perspective, and I’m loving the discussion! But to be clear, this less about me wondering and more about a missed content opportunity.
