To the people crying about how @FroggyCyborg would not deserve this or would be a bad pick I have to say from the bottom of my heart: Please just STFU! There is probably no single person that has dedicated himself more to abstract when you combine time, effort, and money spent on the @AbstractChain ecosystem. Endless hours spent streaming and supporting other streamers, even more hours spent using the ecosystem, seven figures roundtripped for believing in it, countless works of free art provided to the @AbstractChain and @pudgypenguins communities. Dedicated so much of his life to this chain that he was close to a mental breakdown when he saw it break apart and realize how much time and effort he effectively wasted. So if you dare to mock him or call the shoutout undeserved you're either clueless or nothing but freaking jealous cockroaches. Most the people I see dropping comments like that are either random farmers or crying about @AbstractChain themselves on their timeline. Yeah @FroggyCyborg moved over to @RobinhoodCrypto lately, just like @Skarly and anyone else with half a brain cell and a grasp of reality. Can we freaking stop pretending something that is not true and just accept that @AbstractChain in its current state is a failure and a dead chain? Does not mean it is beyond saving and will be dead forever, but it simply is right now. Flows on @l2beat for abstract were outright shameful and in the four digit range while other actually alive L2s sit in the multi millions for daily flows. Barely anything is happening in the eco and the teams who did not die with it are migrating to actually alive ecosystems. 99% of current activity is carried by @onchainheroes campaign for a WL for a new ponzi-style game on RH chain. The chain had insane potential at the start (and for many months) and may still have in the future as @IglooInc is stacked with smart people at the top that are also hard working and dedicated. Nevertheless, the chain is factually in a dead or at least dying state rn. No sugarcoating or encouraging of yes-men behavior will be able to hide a simple obvious truth. Any builder knows it and any user knows it, it is just a matter of whether they openly state it or not. Lots of unfortunate things led it there – some outside of anyone's control, such as market movements and macro, others related to bad decisions, Imho some of the most crucial missteps were terrible hiring / personel decisions. The old eco lead Phin imho has clearly shown that he is a man with no honor, integrity, and loyalty, trolling and shittalking both companies he worked for and glazed and promoted. Also there are many occasions in which he openly and covertly extracted from the ecosystem and its users (how about shilling Bigcoin ref links over and over while being an official employee and amplifying those from official accounts just to name one example). That said, he deserved credit for driving attention to the chain and clearly possesses skills at doing so. Secondly – and for that guy I feel somewhat bad because he ended up (being put) in a roll that totally not fit his person, character, and skillset – we ended up with a lead community guy that on multiple occasions acted like some totalitarian leader and mocked the very community that keeps a chain alive and active. The guy is giga smart but clearly belonged in a different role. Not really sure how some of the hires happened and how they managed to woo some of the higher ups in @IglooInc. Probably just honest mistakes but definetly fairly detrimental consequences. It is imho very clear to me that @AbstractChain is going through a clear big pivot rn, which explains lots of the public silence probably and might ultimately make sense after we see the outcome of it. I hope it will lead to a brighter future for both the @pudgypenguins ecosystem (that was notably dragged down by the failing @Abstract_Eco) but also for @AbstractChain itself, hopefully. But betterment starts with the realizations and admission of problems and the true current state. And I am very sorry, but nobody with a brain in their head that is paying any attention to this space at all would come to a different conclusion about the current state of Abstract – without being outright delusional. And that is okay ... not everything always has to work out perfectly in business and life. But yes, please excuse that people like @FroggyCyborg do not spam bullpost about all the cool stuff that is happening in the @Abstract_Eco rn when there really are no such things happening rn. The @onchainheroes stuff only coincidentally drags activity up rn and funny enough not even the chain and eco are highlighting that part much rn because it is clearly driven by @YieldFields_RH on RH. The most loyal supporters and evangelists of the chain have been burned enough and lost not only big amounts of money but also countless hours of their life to the cause. No, they do not deserve to be jailed in a currently sinking ship to fully die with it. Thank you for your attention to this matter. And let's please go back to keep things real in this space, it is way to fake these days. All the best to all entities and people involved and addressed, may the future be bright but let's not hide past and present. P.S.: Be careful interacting with @FroggyCyborg account rn (DO NOT CLICK LINKS) as he recently got his X hacked (alongside many other big accounts) and is still in the process of fully recovering it.
