The day he signed with the Lakers in 2019, I sent him a DM telling him I was a big fan and how excited I was to have him on the team. He replied and followed me back right away.
Fast forward to early 2020. I was a college student at USC who hadn’t been to a Lakers game in TWO YEARS. I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask, so I told him if he ever had extra tickets, I’d love to go.
A few months later he hit me up offering two tickets, gave me family passes, and took the time to meet me afterward. For someone who grew up loving the Lakers, this was a dream.
We stayed in touch, hung out a few times, and he even invited me over to his house. Later that year we were meeting up after he became a champion with the team I’d been so excited to see him join.
It all started with a DM and I’m grateful it turned into a brotherhood. Love you bro @QCook323 💜💛
