all artists who make genderbent art of michael are either deranged mjyaois or endorse them and anyone still using the unconvincing "it’s just fictional characters" excuse is one too. the gaslighting isn‘t working anymore.
Reminder that the electric chair has such a strong current that it shuts down the heart and renders the person completely unconscious before the pain receptors can even register it
This is considered the inhumane option because people just thought it looked gross
guyssss capital punishment is wrong not necessarily because the perpetrators dont deserve to die but because the government shouldnt have the power to kill someone. that power can and has been abused. it also makes victims less likely to come forward
Rick Devens made plenty of BB history tonight:
• First Survivor player to win Big Brother
• Most money won in a single BB season — $810K
• First BB player to surpass $800K in one season
• Second winner to also be named America’s Favorite, joining Taylor Hale
• Second-oldest winner at 42, behind Dick Donato (44)

seeing people’s stances on the death penalty, it becomes clear to me how the US government was able to convince americans the war in iraq was reasonable and just. you care more about revenge than actual justice, and you don’t care about the betterment of society at all.
Every pro-death penalty argument I’ve seen on here today isn’t even trying to be grounded in public safety or the principles of retributive justice. Just open bloodlust. The ghouls used to at least make salient arguments
#UnitedStates: The case of Christa Pike lays bare multiple reasons why the death penalty should be abolished. The prolonged suffering – physical and mental – arising from multiple failed execution attempts is abhorrent, and cruel. And there are key fair trial questions still unresolved.
UN Human Rights Chief @volker_turk calls on the state authorities not to pursue any further attempt to execute Pike.
We are also troubled by the increase in the number of executions in the United States.
The death penalty has no place in any society.
I oppose the death penalty because there are people (disproportionally black and brown people) who are convicted and sentenced to death who are innocent or later exonerated in some sort. To be an innocent person sentenced to die is horrifying and seeing as how often the government botches these and locks up innocent people I cannot in good conscience support the death penalty. Even for those rightly convicted. Unless you get it right 100% of the time there can be no executions. Aside from that, it’s been shown to not be a deterrence and in my opinion the government should not be given the authority to kill its citizens while also being the ones who decide to charge and try. She wouldn’t be in a box if she weren’t on death row.
