"on lando's side specifically, we observe a deficit of power that we are investigating. it seems to be linked to some behaviour of the fuel injection, something that hopefully we, or the adaptive systems, should be able to improve for tomorrow.
it looks that occasionally the power unit generates a bit less power, but this is a specific phenomenon, a specific issue. it has nothing to do with the overall behaviour of the power unit"

lando admitted he pushed too much and paid the price for it, but he also said he's had issues with his car this weekend that are putting him at a deficit compared to the other car, especially in the straights, and that they probably won't be fixed for the race. i wonder if mclaren will actually address how compromised his car has been.
