People often accuse Libertarians of being spoilers. They say “you’re going to take votes from X to help Y win—you’re a spoiler.”
@ChaseForLiberty put it best:
You can’t spoil something that’s already completely rotten to the core, and that is our two-party system as it exists in Washington.
The better choice to make as voters is to dare to vote differently. Dare to vote outside of a broken two-party system and send a signal to Democrats or Republicans that the quality they are giving you on the ballot is not the quality you want to see as a voter.
And I bet when you do that—I guarantee you, when you make it hurt for the Democratic and Republican parties—they will become a lot more responsive to the needs of you, the voters, and not the people who backed them, their corporate lobbyist partners who buy and trade congressmen like cattle at the auction yard.
