Can’t speak highly enough of the ongoing work these two blokes do for both our club and SA racing. The relationship goes back a long way in different shapes and forms but we’re fortunate to have such fantastic ambassadors, both onscreen and off. @eaglepunt@MaccasMock@GetOn78
Plenty of chat about milestone anniversaries at Balaklava Racing Club today and stumbled across this photo from 1912. Tell me that’s not @MaccasMock circled! @eaglepunt@Racing
Enjoying the sights with the misso at Te Rapa for the Group 1s on Legends Day! Off to a great start with Butterfield in R1. Looking for Kingswood in the Herbie Dyke, Pier in the sprint. Great day! @TrialNz
I’d also like the town of Boort to make some Boort licence plates. I’ve told the mayor of the Loddon Shire Council but he didn’t get it. @Racing@TheTrotsComAu
We had a great turnout of 110 growers and ag sector workers at Lochiel last night for our Farming Mates Muster. Guest speakers included GPSA chair @johngladigau , @BeWellCo_ Esme Fabry, @RuralBiz, Brett Burton and Bernie Vince. Event to support and strengthen our ag community. 🌾
Terrific to have the likes of Adkins, Newitt and McNeil vying for the #BalaklavaCup but can also reveal hot off the press @jamieleekah07 to ride for Clarken/OShea on Second To Nun. 🔥 @MaccasMock@eaglepunt
I wasn’t born when Lessons In Love by @level42official charted in 1986 and only just heard it today.
I was around when Katie Underwood first released Beautiful in 2002 and now released 21-year anniversary remixes.
Chorus is strikingly similar. Was this a collaboration?

These are the hits that were “fair” but the contact and the bumping action leading to concussion is the way the AFL is moving to phase out.
Gotta let go of the idea these bumps are part of the game anymore, like it or not.
Such as Mark Ricciuto on Dean Kemp or Byron Pickett on Biglands. youtu.be/BZO7uUQXp08?si=oFFQ…
We’re attached to the nostalgia without acknowledging the danger of such actions now.
This is the reality moving forward.
Initial contact is to the AC joint. But the force of that contact brings the chin onto the upper arm and knocks Rankine out. Place your hand on your right collarbone and see if you can touch it with your own chin. He’s out BEFORE he hits the ground. 1/2
Have a look at the graph. Just massive membership growth. Where Geelong and Hawthorn have been successful onfield, it hasn’t resulted in the same spikes of membership growth enjoyed by the likes of Richmond. These other clubs have lower membership “ceilings”.
The paying punters deserve better than this shit popping up every few minutes. Although it is covering up a decent chunk of our ineptitude 😂 #AFLCrowsTigers
Saw this photo on the socials of supposedly Bruce McAvaney calling the 1978 Port Lincoln Cup for Radio 5DN. I’d like to see @MaccasMock and @eaglepunt recreate the image @GetOn78@Racing
Pleasure to meet @boss_glen this evening at the Governor’s Reception ahead of tomorrow’s Melbourne Cup. Invited him to the Balaklava Cup next year. A true gentleman and a star of the sport. Can’t wait for tomorrow
Business director and former model Abby Thomas is this year’s Face of the Cup as announced at the Cup Launch last week. Abby will be assisting with coordinating Fashions Of The Field on Cup Day. Got your outfits sorted @MaccasMock@eaglepunt ? #BalaklavaCup
Thoroughly enjoyed hosting the #BalaklavaCup Launch at Taylor’s Wines new cellar door in Auburn. The room was enthralled with @eaglepunt and his ownership tale following the meteoric rise of Alcopop, one of the most successful horses to claim the Cup. Photos: @ethan_allennnn
“There’s a sign here that says: Don’t put anything on top of your organ. What sort of facility is this?” - John Letts at a Balaklava aged care facility with the Melbourne Cup Tour.
Balaklava Football Club great and former Geelong player Stewie Lamond calls time on a huge career aged 44 following a broken leg + dislocated ankle and snapped syndesmosis ligaments. Due to turn 45 in July. No ambulance at the ready so off to hospital in a ute tray #countrysport
My mate Anthony Lynch of Whyalla with one of the rarer sights captured on a golf course yesterday. I actually bought my current clubs off him too. Wondered what those scratches were…
