This is extremely interesting. I often wonder how certain things came to be. I never would have guessed that tipping was based in racism. I definitely think that it's way out of hand today. Practically every single exchange of money is accompanied by an option to tip. I don't mind doing it but I don't want to feel obligated at every moment of the day.
