If you haven't actively social traded for a few weeks with reasonable size and given it a real chance then your take on social trading is completely irrelevant.
It's akin to the people who thought the internet, bitcoin, video games, tcgs and nfts were stupid and missed out on the gold rush.
You don't need to have a take if you're not educated enough to understand the magic behind social trading.
Only people who have actually played a game like Fomo and have been fully immersed in it understand why it has a big chance to be the future of trading on chain.
I didn't understand Pokemon cards until I opened a pack and felt the rush of hitting a chase card.
You didn't understand meme coins until you hit a 10x.
Once you understand the magic of a game that has real-life consequences, real-life rewards, a hierarchy system, the opportunity to get rich, getting paid passively for posting, quick dopamine and a ticket to fame all in one you will begin to understand why it's growing at a rapid pace.
The future of marketing and influence in crypto is social trading.
Token projects are already targeting top social traders for marketing instead of KOLs.
Honestly if you actively trade on chain and you aren't getting social signals + tracking what's trending on Fomo are you even tapped in?
How can you understand the culture without being apart of it?
Trading on chain is a culture game in itself.
Every single mega runner in the last couple months could have been found early via social trading trending tabs regardless of if you trade on the app or not.
The same people who hate on social trading manually track people's wallets on a telegram bot which is ironic.
And for the case of Pump and Fomo, you can't just buy the social trading magic and replicate it easily.
Just like social media, you can't brute force it to become popular, it just slowly does if it has the magic of being cool and fun.
Being cool is a priceless asset.
The world's future is built on what the youth do, not what a washed 37 year old crypto KOL cares about.
Exhibit A: Tiktok.
You can't copy tiktok and take anything away from it or make it less popular, you can only create reels and shorts to try to replicate the magic.
Everyone hated on it, refused to use it and countries even tried to ban it.
Yet it became a huge part of our culture regardless.
Culture is built on novelty and where the people are.
The amount of terrible takes on social trading I've heard in the last week is brutal.
Criticizing ad spend, criticizing paying traders, criticizing revenue numbers and just trying to dunk on the idea as a whole instead of understand it.
The social trading gold rush is an IQ test and the fact that so many people don't get it makes it an even more asymmetrical trade for those who have felt the magic.
