My argument concerning tipping is why is it based on the cost of the meal. The same amount of work goes into serving me a $10 cheeseburger as a $70 steak. How does it make sense to tip $2.50 for the burger and $17.50 for the steak?

I just asked Grok for a traditional Alfredo sauce and was completely stunned. The traditional recipe calls for pasta water, not cream. I’m not Italian, so maybe this is common knowledge. I’ve always made it as a cream based sauce.

As much as we enjoy entertaining, the 4 day holiday weekends are exhausting. We’ve spent 2 days running around getting all the supplies, we’ll have 20 people/day to feed and entertain, and then we get to put everything back to normal again when it’s all over
