Nobody has ever said this before, but I will say it. 😒
We affiliate marketers and digital marketers need to stop insulting salary earners just because we post our payouts.
“Imagine earning ₦100k a month.”
“Imagine working 9–5 for ₦70k.”
“Imagine depending on salary.”
Please, let’s stop. 🥺
Because the truth is, without salary earners, many of us wouldn’t even be making those payouts we proudly post.
Who do you think buys the courses?
Who pays for the products?
Who becomes our clients?
Who supports these businesses we promote?
Salary earners.
And behind that salary you’re laughing at is probably someone waking up at 5am, fighting traffic, working under pressure, dealing with a difficult boss, paying rent, feeding their family, paying school fees, sending money home, and still trying to survive with whatever is left.
Maybe ₦100k is not enough for you.
But for someone else, that ₦100k is what keeps their family going.
Not everyone wants to be an entrepreneur.
Not everyone wants to build a personal brand.
Not everyone has the opportunity, resources, or even the desire to leave their 9–5.
Some people are simply doing the best they can with what they have.
So yes, celebrate your wins. Post your payouts. Show people what’s possible.
But you don’t have to make someone else feel small to prove that you’re doing well.
Your success doesn’t become bigger because you insult someone else’s income.
Let’s do better. ❤️
Let’s respect the people who are working hard, regardless of how they earn their money.
