It is amazing how rapidly my IT 3 R's rule has become the norm in non-IT contexts - Rubbish Ramifies Rapidly. Contrary to this one example below, Australia is not one off the highest country's interest rate level in the world. It is one off in the OECD. sbs.com.au/news/article/afte…

Thought for the evening ... If the Australian govt has learned nothing about how Denmark was treated re Greenland, then we are too stupid to deserve being a sovereign nation.

I see that wear and tear on the spare wheel restraining strap on BYD's Shark 6 is causing the recall of 32,000 vehicles for remediation. Some will cast this as "Chinese EV bad", but when the details are examined, it speaks volumes in favour of their support infrastructure.

My thought for the evening ... Australia's public hospitals are magnificent. The administration sometimes is a bit lacking and the analyst in me shudders at the number of silos of butted my head against - - but the frontline staff - doctors, nurses, orderlies - are wonderful.

Penny Wong just said, in Parliament, that Australia's alliance with the USA increases our sovereignty !!! I can calmly accept that some people believe that the alliance inproves our security ... disagree with but not be surprised. But increased sovereignty ??? That's insane.

The problem is that neither the US nationally nor Trump personally is anything remotely resembling a democracy. The former is run by lobbyists The latter is just a despot - a dictator. That combination is in absolutely no position to tell others how to behave in a democratic way.

Catch up phase? There are already enough dwellings. In occupied dwellings, we currently have 30 mill bedrooms for 27 mill people. In UNOCCUPIED dwellings, we have another 4 mill bedrooms. We do NOT have a housing shortage. We have a housing supply shortage.

There has been a flood of "See, we anti-vaxxers were right" postings since Fauci started being (unsuccessfully) questioned. Which is odd - because there is nothing in Rand Paul's attack that relates to vaccination dangers.

如今的中共国人就像太监,一遇到别人指出他们活的很憋屈还不反抗时,他们就要大吼:“你懂什么?这是皇帝为我们指导的新太监思想😡😡😡你根本不了解太监制度的优越性!”

Been thinking about my mother. Wonderful woman - but had no idea about the difference between a million and a billion. Both were just "equally" very big numbers. It occurs to me that most Aussies duffer from this problem to a greater or lesser degree. /2

/2 So I decided to make those big numbers real. I'll do round number approximations. AUKUS is set to cost us $300 billion. Our population is 30 million We have 3 people per familly AUKUS will cost YOU $30,000. Eat those numbers.

Here's the problem - I've been told over and over again that the Harbour-Parramatta waterway is NOT being tunneled under or bridged over Have a look! Do you think they know what they're doing?

Critical minerals aren't used to make "propellants". I am strongly in favour of onshoring value-adding processes - I'm with you up to there. But keep it sane. Have you evaluated the case for water-expensive processing in the water scarce Pilbara versus shipping to, say, Darwin?

You Americans will never have safe elections until you sort out your dim-witted electoral roll processes. The federal government could do this in a twinkling with no harm done to the consyitution or any laws depending there from ... ... just maintain a list of citizens. /2

/2 The feds look after name and date+place of birth They maintain the list from registers of births, deaths, and marriages, name change registers, and naturalisation records. States look after current addresses and, most importantly, the one district they are registered to /3

/3 What the states choose to add to that database and how they go about maintaining it is their business BUT the list would be used to say "you are not a citizen" and to say "you voted once already in the current election". Job done. In other words, copy the Australian way.
