🚨Roy Keane on Manchester City being found guilty of 114 Premier League financial charges: 🗣️ Roy Keane: “If these findings are ultimately upheld, then Manchester City have got a very serious question to answer, because this isn’t just about numbers on a balance sheet. “For years, Manchester United watched City spend enormous amounts of money, bring in world-class players and build a squad capable of competing for every trophy. “And United lost titles during that period. “So if the independent commission’s findings eventually lead to sanctions that affect those seasons, you cannot simply look at it as City being punished today. “You have to look backwards. “Were other clubs denied opportunities? Were other players denied medals? Were other teams denied the chance to lift trophies? “That is the uncomfortable question. “And if titles are eventually stripped as part of the final sanctions, then Manchester United could potentially find themselves being handed Premier League titles years after the celebrations should have happened. “Imagine that. “You could have a Manchester United player receiving a Premier League medal for a season they finished second in. “That would be extraordinary. “And people will say, ‘But the football was played.’ “Exactly. “That is why this situation is so serious. “If financial rules were breached in a way that materially affected the competitive balance, then you cannot pretend the consequences only belong to the present day. “City built an incredible football team. Nobody can deny what they achieved on the pitch. “But football has rules for a reason. “If you break them and the findings survive the appeal process, then you accept whatever consequences the rules allow. “And if that eventually means points deductions, stripped titles or even relegation, then so be it. “Manchester United won’t be asking for favours. “They’ll be asking what the rules say should happen. “Because trophies are not just pieces of silver. “They are history. “And if the history of those seasons has been affected, then you may have to rewrite the history books.”

🚨🎙️ Roy Keane on Manchester United's humiliating 3-2 defeat to Brighton in the Carabao Cup : 🗣️"Look, part of me wants to sit here and say, 'I told you so,' because I’ve said from day one that Michael Carrick wasn't the right man for this job long-term. But the reality is, the problems at this football club run so much deeper than just the manager, to the point where I don’t think anyone inside that building even fully understands it anymore. He got it completely wrong tonight. The tactical decisions, dropping key players, over-rotating for other competitions—it was naive, and the recent performances have been nowhere near good enough for Manchester United. But let’s be honest: if Carrick leaves tomorrow—and with no clear plan or identity, that looks inevitable eventually—the next manager who walks through that door is going to inherit the exact same mess. It's a massive, massive job. If I were a manager being offered the Manchester United seat right now, I’d think twice about taking it. That crown is just too heavy to wear at the moment."

🚨Roy Keane on Manchester United being eliminated from the Carabao Cup by Brighton: 🗣️ Roy Keane: “I said before this game that I didn’t believe Michael Carrick was the man to win Manchester United trophies, and tonight, in his first cup game in charge, they’ve been knocked out by Brighton. This is the same Brighton that eliminated Manchester United from this competition this time last year. A year later, after another transfer window, another manager and less money spent, we’re back in the same place. Knocked out by Brighton again. And this isn’t just about the manager. There is a mentality problem at this football club. I watched Zirkzee give the ball away in his own half and then look completely casual about it. I watched Šeško make the mistake that helped Brighton complete the comeback. Then Rashford gets a one-on-one, the kind of chance you expect a Manchester United forward to bury, and he wastes it. At some point, I stopped feeling sorry for them. I started laughing. Because what else can you do? It was embarrassing. Manchester United are supposed to have players who stand up when the pressure arrives. Instead, when Brighton came back at them, United looked terrified of the game. And let’s talk about Bruno Fernandes. A player who gets nominated for the Ballon d’Or, but when people talk about the very best players in the world, his name barely gets mentioned. Why? Because playing for Manchester United right now doesn’t help you. The standards have fallen so far that even our best players are being dragged into the chaos. But Carrick has to take responsibility tonight as well. He chose to start Rashford and leave Cunha out. That decision changed the balance of the team. When the game became difficult, United needed someone who could carry the ball, create something and give Brighton another problem. Cunha was sitting on the bench. Carrick made that call. So yes, the players have to look at themselves. But the manager has to look in the mirror too. This wasn’t just losing a cup game. It was Manchester United showing, once again, that the same problems are still here.”

🚨Paul Scholes on the difference between Ruben Amorim and Michael Carrick: “As a club, we can’t keep going back on our decisions, but honestly, what has changed? It feels like we’ve recycled the same problems and wasted more money. I don’t see anything Carrick has that is better than Amorim. If anything, we could get worse. Amorim took us to a Europa League final. I don’t see this current coach taking us anywhere, especially in the Champions League. We’re deceiving ourselves. Amorim’s mistake was not using proper players like Kobbie Mainoo. I love Carrick, but not as Manchester United manager right now. His style doesn’t fit; there’s no intensity. He also abandoned the squad that worked for him last season because a player returned from loan, and that could be part of his downfall. I think things need to change. Some of the old players need to go. We need players who can run, compete and press, plus a much more experienced manager who knows how to use them. Otherwise, we’re only delaying the inevitable.”

🚨Peter Schmeichel on Michael Carrick starting Marcus Rashford over Matheus Cunha against Brighton: 🗣️ Peter Schmeichel: “I watched Rashford at Barcelona and I said, ‘Okay, maybe he’s finding his feet. Maybe he just needs time.’ Then I watched him play a few games for Manchester United and I thought, ‘I still need to understand his game.’ I watched him against Manchester City last week and, honestly, I was embarrassed by what I saw. Then I watched him again tonight against Brighton and I finally understood why Hansi Flick never really wanted him at Barcelona. Look at Barcelona. They sign top players, top wingers, top finishers. Players who have a clear understanding of what they want to do when they receive the ball. With Rashford, I still don’t understand it. He gets the ball, drives forward, goes into the box and then misuses it. He comes back. He gets it again, does the same thing. Drives forward, crosses, loses the ball, comes back again. I want to call Marcus and say, ‘Brother, what exactly is your style of play?’ Because this driving-and-crossing routine is clearly not working for Manchester United, and it’s certainly not working for him. And the frustrating thing is that Manchester United already have players who were showing us something different. Šeško, Mbeumo, Amad, Cunha last season that attack was tearing teams apart. Brighton were one of the teams on the receiving end of it. Then one player comes back into the picture and suddenly you see the same old problems. The combinations disappear. The movement becomes predictable. The attack becomes easier to defend. That cannot be normal. And this is where I question Carrick. You have Matheus Cunha sitting on the bench while Rashford is starting again. Why? If you watched the Manchester City game, if you watched Rashford tonight, what exactly did you see that convinced you he had to start? Carrick has worked hard to build a team with movement, intensity and different attacking options. You cannot keep changing that balance just because a player has a big name. At some point, you have to select players based on what they are giving you now. Marcus Rashford has ability. Nobody can deny that. But right now, he looks like a player searching for a version of himself that we haven’t seen for a long time. And Manchester United cannot keep waiting for that version to return while the team suffers for it. For me, this is no longer about one bad performance. Rashford is simply not giving Manchester United what a top winger or a top finisher should give them. And Carrick has to be brave enough to accept that.”

🚨Roy Keane on Manchester United’s 3-2 defeat to Brighton in the Carabao Cup: “Michael Carrick definitely has something special about him, because I’ve been saying it for a while now. United have been poor since he took charge last season, but it honestly feels like I’m the only one seeing it. I don’t know what he is trying to do with this team. I can’t tell if he has changed the players mentally or if they have simply become lazy, but the tactics are worrying. It’s just pass the ball, pass the ball, with absolutely no aggression and no pressing. Look at the 90th minute tonight. We’re 3-2 down and every single one of our 11 players is sitting inside our own half. They couldn’t even push Brighton away from our box. When did Manchester United become this passive? We saw these players run under Amorim. But I think Carrick is simply too friendly with these players, and that’s why he can’t demand the intensity and running this club requires. You throw away a 2-0 lead against Brighton at Old Trafford, and then you expect to face Bayern Munich? If Carrick is still the manager, I’m telling you now, United could be in for a very heavy defeat.”

🚨Paul Scholes on Manchester United blocking Joshua Zirkzee move to Everton 🗣️ I think Michael Carrick made this decision because the INEOS failed woefully in the transfer market this window. To be frank I don't know how they want him to compete in the Premier League and the Champions League. Even teams that didn't qualify for the Champions League were busy signing players but they could only sign Andrey Santos,Youri Tielemans and Baleba for him. The only striker we have at the Moment is Benjamin Sesko. Cunha, Marcus Rashford and Bryan Mbeumo ain't natural number 9 so keeping for me is right. The best thing for Zirkzee is leaving on loan to play regularly football but he's staying back because Manchester United didn't sign any striker to work with Benjamin Sesko. I'm disappointed and so is every one that supports Manchester United. The INEOS failed us once again.

🚨🎙️ Wayne Rooney on Manchester United’s midfield: 🗣️ “I think Tielemans should be the one coming on to replace Bruno around the 70th minute. When Baleba returns from injury, I think Santos or Baleba should be the player partnering with Mainoo in the midfield. Tielemans may have the prettier passes, but Baleba give you more energy, physicality, defensive cover and the ability to win the ball. For me, that gives Mainoo a better platform to control the midfield and allows Tielemans to come on later when United need more quality and control in possession. That would give Carrick a much better balance in midfield.”

Al Nassr got a red card and Cristiano Ronaldo asked the coach to subbed him off because he knew the game needed younger and faster players to cover distance since they were 1 man down. But Before Ronaldo stepped off, he pulled Sadio Mane and Joao felix to the side and spoke to them for about 3mins, told them exactly how to connect with each other for the comeback to be complete. GUESS WHAT? Al nassr did the comeback from 2-0 to 2-3. THE GREATEST THERE WAS, THE GREATEST THERE IS, THE GREATEST THERE EVER WILL BE🐐👏

🚨Rio Ferdinand on Manchester United signing Carlos Baleba from Brighton: 🗣️ Rio Ferdinand: “People talk about Xavi, Iniesta, Pirlo and Busquets, but that era is gone. The modern midfielder has to do everything. Do you know who caused Manchester City so many problems during the 2025/26 Premier League season? Carlos Baleba. He put fear into top midfields, battled players like Gravenberch and showed why midfielders with his physicality and aggression are becoming so valuable. “So if you ask me why Manchester United are going all out for Baleba, I’ve already answered you. He changes everything. He drives forward with the ball, wins tackles, dominates physically, competes in the air and gives you protection in front of the defence. He is the kind of player who can completely change the balance of a midfield. “Now imagine Baleba alongside Tielemans, Bruno Fernandes, Carlos Santos and Kobbie Mainoo. You have creativity, experience, energy and power all in one midfield. If Michael Carrick gets that group functioning properly, then for me, challenging for the Premier League isn’t enough. Winning it should be the minimum expectation.”
