The best description of the situation is also the link to do something about it, which is to sign a petition:

There is a piece of legislation which decimates the rights of Indigenous people of Brazil, who have been protecting the rainforest. It's unfathomably bad. It has majority support. And they're voting tomorrow.

An excellent statement by @sethmoulton on "our moral and operational failure" in Afghanistan. And a moving final two paragraphs addressed to our Afghanistan veterans and families.

The #KKK is a white supremacist terror org that has caused over 100 years of pain and suffering.
It's unconscionable not to teach students about the hate & violence fomented by the KKK because it's a fact and we can’t let history repeat itself. huffpost.com/entry/texas-sen…

Everybody has to join with Jewish people everywhere to stop anyone who is committing antisemitic acts now!
From coast to coast in the US, we are witnessing a dangerous and drastic surge in anti-Jewish hate right now.
Thank you @CNN and @KateBolduan for allowing me on to discuss these disturbing times.
This type of blatant and in some cases, violent #antisemitism should alarm everyone.

The Oscar-nominated short film #TwoDistantStrangers is about one man's never-ending confrontations with the same deadly series of events.
@Jerickaduncan sat down with the film's creators @Travon and @martinroe about how it captures a critical moment in this nation's history.

So proud of this movie! Thank you @NetflixFilm for pushing this out!
A community of predominantly Black artists were brought together by directors Arnon Manor and Timothy Ware-Hill to deploy their unique animation styles in interpreting Ware-Hill’s poetic response to the murder of Ahmaud Arbery. The result is Cops & Robbers
