Tim Lewis deserves his flowers on the guilty verdict. No one more rabid about justice for the Premier League than him. In a world of shoulder shrugs, his principles on this should be applauded.

Look at that footwork! ⚡️
Fantastic finish from Christos Tzolis vs Serbia. His goals catalogue at Brugge was similar to these type of finishes. Loves to drift closer to the marker before backing off and receiving with that one yard. Fabulous movement on this occasion Brilliant touch to create half a yard from the retreating CB and a great finish on his weaker left foot. Hoping this can translate to his games with #AFC #Tzolis

Doesn't take long to get punished by the footballing gods. Viktor Gyokeres starting games because Kai Havertz was raked by Jurrien Timber's brother. The biggest squad we've had in our history and the only. major weakness exposed after 6 weeks. Outrageously predictable.

Most gutless Arsenal performance I’ve seen since Newcastle bullied us out of the Champions League spots in 2022, led by Bruno. Notable that we had no Saliba for that game either (Marseille). Arsenal losing duels and kind of giving up. Very odd outing. Couldn’t hack man-to-man with all our best players. Felt deeper than a normal loss because a team of fighters put down the swords. Tough that’s the game we end our streak on - weeks without game! Nightmare or maybe a good thing?

Sometimes you just have to accept a belt to the back of the legs and that was Brighton. First time we’ve lost 3-0 since 2023. Brighton wanted it more if the aggressive press was the benchmark for care. Hurzeler hates Arsenal more than Emery. Fair play, he did the job, ouch. Hard to read too much into one game after a run of 8 wins. But… Brighton beat us with xG defier goals we tend to lack in tight games. We also had no outlet pace to go over their press. Not the end of the world, exceptional run, but some our weaknesses were exposed today (not many, let’s be clear)

Crazy watching the PGMOL PR machine. Just Howard Webb saying, yeah, it’s bad. Nothing deeper. The biggest takeaway is that refs have no common sense, no ability to think bigger picture, and they consistently bounce between being letter of the law/spirit of the game. Disastrous.

Crazy that we go through this back and forth about how hard officiating is and nothing serious gets done... then Pierluigi Collina runs the World Cup. He implements new rules, tech integrations that work, and makes sure the refs are not the star of the show... and it's so much better than anything the Premier League is capable of... why? Simple question. All this money spent on transfers and none of the clubs push for better reffing standards? So odd. The biggest story in officiating in England this year is that Mike Dean would run games and not blow the whistle for extended periods of time just for fun. That sort of thinker was allowed to be the top dog for YEARS and no one stepped in. We can all see what has been happening with refs hasn't been right. They've had cover from media who make it a tone issue, or call fans conspiracists... only for the offenders to show up on podcasts or at after-parties and snitch on themselves. I want to know the state of play NOW. Why is it so bad? How does disciplinary action work? Why are the same offenders allowed to stay? Where are the audits? Why isn't there an independent panel to review their training? Where are the innovations? Why doesn't the league create a new professional body and hire the best from around the world? ProRef or whatever they are called is just a contractor. How do they keep getting renewed? Just maddening. United had points stolen today. But hey, at least they got an apology. More than Arsenal got.

PROREF apologize tonight to @ManUtd for incorrect decision on goal. But @Arsenal are in a title shoot out with the finest of margins against a team with unlimited firepower. Where is the apology to us? And what is going to change?

Need to know what the consequence of this is... If a manager says something, they get a touchline ban. If a player is deemed to have done something violent, they also get banned / fined. What use is an apology? Who cares if there's no recourse or punishment for offenders.
Pro Ref has admitted an 'error of judgement' in awarding Manchester City's winner at Manchester United in their 1-0 victory at Old Trafford. Erling Haaland's goal was initially disallowed for offside on the pitch before VAR overturned the decision.

Love the Man United cycle of hiring someone dated, someone fresh and exciting, someone from the class of 92... and it always ending the same way. Never change.
