J’ai entendu dire que la France était finie, qu’il était trop tard pour la sauver. Mais la France est toujours aussi belle, enviable même. Sa grandeur n’a pas disparu, elle ne demande qu’à renaître. Europe’s selective justice is one of the core reasons Israel must exist on its own terms, with no dependence on Europe or any other country. He believed Jews could be equal citizens under European law. Then he watched Alfred Dreyfus, a loyal French officer, publicly stripped of his rank and convicted of treason in Paris in 1895 on fabricated charges. The only real offense was that he was a Jew. The pattern never broke. Macron recognized a fictional Palestine while Israel is accused of genocide for stopping the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. October 7 was filmed slaughter of civilians. Europe treats Jewish self-defense as the crime and the attackers as the victims. The identity of the accused still decides the verdict. The ICC is not applying law. It is enforcing a political hierarchy in which Jewish survival is treated as conditional on European approval. Europe has watched Islamist networks, synagogue attacks, and open calls for Jewish death while treating criticism of those realities as the greater offense. When Jews defend themselves, European institutions rediscover outrage. When Jews are murdered, they discover context. This is exactly why the Jewish state exists and why it cannot depend on Europe or anyone else. Jews did not reject European values. Europe repeatedly proved those values do not apply to Jews when it is inconvenient. Jews built a state so they would never again have to ask permission from courts that treat Jewish blood as negotiable. The ICC can issue whatever warrants it wants. It does not change the record or the necessity. Israel exists so Jews never have to rely on that system again.
