Etihad threatening to sue. UAE reportedly intimating that UK investment could be pulled. A Prime Minister couching any criticisism. If this sorry saga doesn't convince you that state ownership of football clubs should never be allowed, nothing ever will.

Well said Chris, although I suspect the SuperLeague Six don’t see it s a problem.
In just 14 months, 23 players have joined 'Big Six' clubs from elsewhere in England's top tier. It is a rapidly accelerating trend. The Premier League has a problem. @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7494043…

Just a reminder that the premier league held an emergency meeting to change the rule book after we were linked to a loan move for Rúben Neves.
An offshore company controlled by Roman Abramovich paid £6m to Eden Hazard's agent, and the Club paid £1m that was undisclosed. According to both the Premier League and the FA, there was no sporting advantage to a career at Chelsea for Hazard (who did not benefit financially from these payments). Purchase price £32m Sale price £130m Appearances 352 Goals 110 Assists 92 During that time 2 x Premier League titles 1 x FA Cup 1 x League Cup 2 x Europa League

We are devastated to learn of the passing of Kevin Keegan, one of the most iconic, influential and deeply loved figures in our club’s history. Kevin was more than a legendary footballer and manager. He was the beating heart of Newcastle United for generations of supporters.

Shit the bed, when Michael nails it we know we're in trouble
Watch Spain at 1-0 last night. That’s courage. That’s bravery. And then watch England at 1-0. What’s the difference? We are a better team than Argentina, I’ve no doubt in my mind. But we deserved to get beat in the end. In fact, it could have been 4-1. Bringing on 3 defenders at 1-0 up. What message does that send? I wrote it in my Daily Mail column after the Mexico game. Until we understand that courage and bravery is controlling possession under pressure and not booting / heading it up the field 40 yards then this will always be the end result.

I genuinely can’t recall a game of this magnitude where a coach has cost his team in this way. Extraordinary and damaging for Tuchel.
England are paying Argentina too much respect here. Sitting way too deep out of choice.

Probably because in 2010s a group of clubs put in place self serving rules that meant even where a club qualified into the CL, won the EL and then qualified again into the CL (all with a wage bill 30% off the top teams) it’s still forced to sell their best player to the Champions
I'm honestly confused about why so many Villa fans are upset with Arsenal fans because Morgan Rogers may join us. The reality is that he would be joining the Champions. He will have a better chance of winning major honours with Arsenal than he will with Villa. I won't ever disrespect their history because it's there for all to see, but this is the here and now. And we are the bigger, and better club. Villa will get a good amount of money to reinvest and everyone should be happy. Am I missing something? I dont get it?

Victor Munoz deal collapse is exactly thing NUFC had to avoid re transfers this summer. Optics, given context, genuinely dreadful. Club confidence again misplaced. Fan confidence in competence to complete further eroded. Fail to disprove theory they can only win a one-horse race.
