22 years later they’re finally putting Stårgåte ᐰtlantis on YouTube for FREE.That’s a good look. Now new people can find it. They’ll drip-feed the past. But what they still won’t do is greenlight the new one and actually let it live, SMH. Fans you already know. Same mission. Same mantra. Let the show from Gero continue, dammit. #SaveTheGate #GerosGate @AmazonMGMStudio @PrimeVideo @michaelfaries @KStargateFan @StarshipAlves @BaronDestructo @thatcrazycatmum @Kirstylgreen12 polygon.com/jason-momoa-over…

These are great-especially like the trousers. However the costume design is not up to me. IF the show is remade and IF I’m asked to be in it again, then maybe I could chat with the designer. Personally I’d like to see Hathor updated to a more current version. #SaveStargate

im sure they could come up with a costume that was both comfortable for you, while still conveying the seductive undertones of Hathor as a character.

"I'm sorry for shooting everyone!" is exactly what AmazonMGM should say after they skewered our hearts. And the best way to apologize is to #SaveStargate I don't know about you, but I'm cutting back purchases with @amazon until they continue the #Stargate revival.

The #SaveStargate petition has passed another milestone: 123,000 signatures! If you want AmazonMGM to respond to us, this is how we do it. By showing them that we're still here and we aren't going anywhere. As @MichaelShanks said last week, get loud! If you haven't signed the petition yet, now is a great time to do so! change.org/p/save-stargate-w… If you have already signed, THANK YOU! Continue to spread the word! Together we can #SaveStargate

As soon as the #SaveStargate campaign started, every @AmazonMGMStudio exec pulled a Homer. Not a peep. We fans, some of whom have spent their entire lifetimes loving #Stargate, deserve to be heard. WE put in the time, love, & energy to be here. YOU, Amazon, did not.

We didn't want a reimagining, inversion or twist. I've always held that in order for a new Stargate to be successful, you must appeal to new fans and old. Ideally, it would be a story that is a direct continuation of what came before in the cleanest way possible as many have suggested, but it's entirely possible that this was attempted (hint hint HIIIIINT) and didn't get anywhere so an alternate approach was taken that would still leave the door open to reintroducing and revisiting characters from the past. NOT reimagined versions of the characters but the actual characters.

I think if you appeal solely to the old fans, a Stargate continuation would do just fine. The old fans have families now. They'll naturally get pulled in. That's exactly how you build IPs into giant IPs. Just make it good, keep it cheap to make, and it'd be successful.

According to reports from his panel, Daniel Jackson would have played a major role in Martin Gero’s scrapped new Stargate series. Yes… so we could possibly have actually seen Michael Shanks return as Dr. Daniel Jackson. 📷📷 And that is precisely why #SaveStargate remains so important.
