In the freedom of movement age, these HS associations restricting an athlete from transferring for whatever reason is so outdated. If this was a non-athlete transferring for a “better” academic situation would anyone bat an eye? Why are some athletes allowed to transfer while others aren’t? What is the difference if a family is doing what they think is best for them? This is about control under the guise of “rules”, nothing more and nothing less.
