<샌프란시스코에서 이어진 AI 연결> 지난 목요일 오전에는 한국에서 통신3사 CEO들과 AI 시대 대한민국의 네트워크 전략을 논의했습니다. 그리고 곧바로 샌프란시스코로 이동해 같은 날 오후 AMD Advancing AI 행사에서 AMD와 AI 반도체 생태계 협력을 위한 MOU를 체결하고, 리사 수(Lisa Su) CEO와 AI 반도체 협력 방안을 논의했습니다. 시차를 넘어 같은 목요일을 두 번 보냈지만, 제게는 하나의 일정처럼 이어졌습니다. 한국에서는 AI가 흐르는 길을 이야기했고, 샌프란시스코에서는 AI를 움직이는 엔진을 이야기했습니다. 결국 AI는 하나의 기술이 아니라 반도체와 데이터센터, 네트워크, 소프트웨어가 함께 움직이는 생태계입니다. 이번 MOU의 의미는 AMD와 AI 컴퓨팅 기술 협력을 확대하는 것은 물론, 국내 NPU 기업들이 AMD의 글로벌 AI 생태계에 참여할 수 있는 기반을 함께 만들기로 한 것입니다. 또한 모레, 망고부스트를 비롯한 국내 AI 기업들과의 협력도 확대하여 우리 소프트웨어와 시스템 기술이 글로벌 시장으로 진출할 수 있는 길을 넓혀가기로 했습니다.
