The ‘Reading Crisis’ in Perspective mcgill.ca/oss/article/critic… via @McGillOSS
Yep, decline in reading of books.
"...the real worry is a decline in 'deep reading' skills which could leave us more vulnerable to misinformation and bad arguments..."
#GoBooks! ❤️
Looks like @FedEx is up to their usual nonsense again.
Package will be delivered between 10:30-2:30. Home all day. Get a notice no one was home and couldn’t deliver. I was by the door when the notification came in. No delivery attempt slip.
Happened before Thanksgiving too. BS.
Last time it was several hundred dollars of wine that “was lost.” Uh huh.
This package better be delivered on Monday.
Oh and I can’t even call @FedEx about this because maybe they could catch the driver since he was here only *3 min ago*
#Notevember Day 19: Action Score
Missed the 28-year anniversary by 6 days, but I still wanted to highlight one of my favorite action sequences in 90s Trek from an episode that really surprised me with what was possible in terms of cinematic scope

Notevember Day 18: Action Score.
A certain anniversary made today’s choice an easy one, though chances are it would have been in the running anyway…

One of the first ways she shows this is by distracting Michael with a song.

#Notevember Day 15: Borrowed Motif
Why pick just one, when @ComposerBarton gave us four in a single cue?
But…why stop with four, when @jeffersonrusso dusted off a wholly unexpected fifth for the opening of an eponymous spacedock?
Yeah ok, I cheated 🤷🏻♂️

I owe you two #Notevember picks!
Day 14: Bombast
I will forever defend the long fly-by of Enterprise in TMP. But that doesn’t mean I can’t also laugh at it, especially when the joke is a fantastic homage/parody!

#Notevember Day 13: Bombast
Anyone dismissing the music of the Berman era as “musical wallpaper” needs to check out this cue from Enterprise, written by some young up-and-comer named Brian Tyler. Whatever happened to him?
