Ten years ago, Brexiteers turned people’s genuine grievances into bait. Food too expensive? Blame the EU. NHS queues? Blame foreigners. Low wages, scarce housing and overstretched services? Blame immigration. Their campaign films portrayed an idyllic, uncrowded and prosperous Britain, as though Europe alone was preventing us from having it. Enough people took the bait, and the entire country was caught in the Brexit trap. A decade later, food is dearer, trade is harder, the economy is weaker, immigration is higher and public services remain overwhelmed. The fantasy has collided with reality. Now only 30% believe Britain was right to leave, while 59% support rejoining. The Brexit dream is dying because people can finally see the trap.

@Jacob_Rees_Mogg said it would be different and food and clothes would be cheaper.

It was a game-changing moment when Prime Minister Burnham said last week that Brexit has done more harm than good. No more lies, no more denial. Now for honest debate about how to repair the damage.

Yes Jo, we have reached the moment where we might finally get a proper say on Brexit, possibly via a referendum after the Nov summit. Parliament could legislate for a vote on the choices but polling shows us where the majority is now.

Austerity is EU policy 👇 Rejoining would mean years of eye watering austerity as it would shackle the UK Treasury to Brussels-enforced spending rules, meaning years of legally mandated fiscal discipline. We'd probably need to privatise the NHS

It was the Vote Remain that were lied to. They were told GB would become an economic basket case (like France, Germany and Italy are) but GB has thrived because we are outside the EU. The Remainiacs are still praying that GB will fail so that the lies they were told come true.

It's the inherent anti intellectualism that accompanies the hatred of proven truth and safety that is especially nauseating. You know, the 'thick and proud of it' Cult. The submissive kamikaze dunces that we've been electorally tethered to since Brexit.

Food is dearer. But considering we import a lot of food from the EU which always undercut UK farmers prices. Why? And figures show that the UK growth is better than the EU top 3. So do you ever do research before posting.

Nothing will ever change until the globalist progressive political elite are removed from power and every Quango dismantled and their powers given back to democratically elected ministers.

If our useless politicians did their jobs instead of trying to overturn the vote things would have been different also a little matter of the pandemic and the Ukraine war!

This is because not 1 single MP wants it to work. You run a business. It's like someone wanting to buy it so hasn't got a clue how farms work and wants to run it to eventually sell the land. The business wouldn't make any money. That is what is happening with Brexit

Nope, we just wanted to be free of the EU which we were never asked if we wanted to join in the first place.

"A decade later, food is dearer" Yes, that is called inflation. Not only dearer in the European sphere. But world wide, so nothing to do with Brexit. And more expensive in EU, how come? That is nothing to do with Brexit.

Honestly your relentless bullshit is getting really tiresome. Guess what happens when you import millions of people, but you don't build homes for them - housing becomes scarces and overpriced. Fucking idiot
