TABC Live Event Preview: Lake Travis On this episode of TA-B-Seen, we preview Lake Travis and take a closer look at what Coach Brandon Shaver and the Cavaliers bring to the table heading into TABC Live. “Toughness, elite guard play, and floor spacing.” That’s the identity Coach Brandon Shaver has established at Lake Travis. One of Central Texas’ premier programs, the Cavaliers consistently combine skill, discipline, and veteran leadership to put themselves in position to win. Coach Shaver’s attention to detail and basketball IQ continue to make Lake Travis one of the toughest teams to prepare for. Leading the way is 2027 guard Will Slyker, one of the area’s top scorers after averaging 19 points per game last season. Alongside him is 2028 guard Aaron Mathis, a dynamic all-around playmaker who fills up the stat sheet as one of the top prospects in his class. Kade Shaver, a 2027 guard, brings toughness and leadership as the team’s glue guy, while 2028 guard Erik Schneider stretches the floor as one of the state’s premier perimeter shooters. With experienced guard play, elite shooting, and a culture built on toughness, Lake Travis is once again a team college coaches won’t want to miss.
