We hope you all enjoyed World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) as much as we did!
We had a great time at the WDSD event @TheCrick where we spoke about our new study (ARC-DS) looking at testing for Alzheimer's Disease in Down Syndrome using a mobile app.
Our @KingsIoPPN PhD students Yajing, Phoebe and Mina are presenting their posters on #aging in #Downsyndrome at the @t21rs conference in Rome. Look out for their research on Alzheimer’s disease, machine learning, cognition, blood biomarkers and MRI! #t21rs2024
As part of this conference on #Downsyndrome, there will sessions open to families on Friday and Saturday in Rome. We would be grateful if you could pass the information on to families who might be interested: t21rs2024.com/famiglie-gener…
Our team has arrived in Rome for the 5th International T21 Research Society (@t21rs) Conference! We’re excited to meet and hear from researchers, clinicians and families interested in #Downsyndrome research from all over the world
Happy World Down Syndrome Day 2024 🎉 Thank you to everyone who joined us for a fun-filled day of talks and activities at The Crick Institute on Saturday. We can’t wait to see you again next year! #WorldDownSyndromeDay
On Saturday we held our annual World Down Syndrome Day event at The Francis Crick Institute. We heard from brilliant scientists on topics such as the thyroid, Alzheimer's disease, otitis media and the @LonDownS study. 1/7
Happy #WorldDownSyndromeDay!🧦
Last weekend the @LonDownS Consortium held its annual WDSD celebration with fantastic guest speaker Sarah Gordy👏
Attendees heard from scientists on important topics such as the thyroid, Alzheimer's disease, & otitis media.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone at WDSD on Saturday March 16th!
A reminder that you must have a ticket in order to attend on the day. We currently have a long waiting list so please check you can still attend/have gotten a ticket ahead of time.
On 9th Sept 2023, we host the mostly #French event "#COMORBIDIT21: Improving knowledge about obesity and other comorbidities in #DownSyndrome or #Trisomy21: the GO-DS21 network at the service of families and associations" (discussions live-translated into #English). @YannHerault
1/ New publication from @LonDownS! 🧠 We delve into the relationship between mismatch negativity (MMN) and cognitive abilities in adults with #DownSyndrome. Reduced MMN amplitudes may indicate cognitive decline. Full article in Cerebral Cortex: doi.org/10.1093/cercor/bhad2…
3/ Our study indicates that MMN may serve as a valuable index of cognitive abilities in DS, and future research may explore the potential impact of Alzheimer’s disease on MMN in people with DS. #Alzheimers#cognitiveability
4/ Take a look at our findings visualized. Understanding MMN could lead to improved detection and understanding of cognitive decline in adults with DS. #ScienceTwitter
