Starting a thread to document my journey of reading every volume of One Piece. These tweets will be marked with #LotusReadsOnePiece so you can mute or keep up. They can be brief thoughts on a moment or chapter, screenshots of panels with my comment on it, or a review after a volume or arc.

Been a while since I picked up a volume and read through some One Piece but we’re still going. I think it’s safe to say that Water 7 / Enies Lobby was the best arc thus far and if One Piece could maintain this level or surpass I could start to understand some of the hype. Didn’t necessarily like Luffy winning in the end thanks to the power of friendship but it is what it is. It was worth it for Nico’s story, her get back on Spandam, and the send off for the Going Merry. I think Nico is solidified as my favorite character. Good stuff. On to the next.
