Oh amy rose.. they could never understand your beautiful heart 💔
SEGA removes Amy Rose's romantic feelings for Sonic from her Japanese character profile!
The official Japanese #Sonic Channel has updated Amy Rose's biography, removing all explicit references to her longtime crush on Sonic.
Her previous profile described her as a girl in love with Sonic who constantly chased him and even called herself his girlfriend, a character trait associated with Amy since her debut in 1993.
The new description takes a different approach, presenting her as an energetic, positive and courageous hedgehog who leads her friends and never backs down when they're in danger. It also highlights her Piko Piko Hammer and dedication to self-improvement.
Interestingly, Sonic is no longer mentioned anywhere in her main character description. The change has sparked discussion among fans, especially given how closely Amy's feelings for Sonic have been associated with her character for decades.
SEGA has not provided an official explanation for the rewrite.
What do you think about this change to Amy's characterization?

i hate how social media just encourages everyone to be as evil as possible
UPDATE: just learned that the artist is taking medication that affects their art and communication skills(or smt like that). I do feel sorry for them about that, however I do not take back anything I said about the art work itself.

I already know I'm not the only person who thought of this, but I bet I'm the first to actually do it.

If I’ve softblocked you during this whole ao3 debacle please know it’s very explicitly because of your callous attitude towards authors who simply don’t want their work uploaded to third party libraries. A lot of you need to learn empathy

This has happened to me many, many times. Its truly bizarre because <2010 this was a thing of excitement for readers and fellow creators. No, it wasn't worship, it was being a fellow fan among fans.
Its an active culture shift to exclude writers to treat them as a stream service
thinking about how the most conversation & comments I ever got about my fics (esp from friends/mutuals) is when nobody had any idea I was the author of the story they were sharing in discord etc
as soon as I came clean it was me, any discussion on them immediately dried up
