Cardputer to My Second Brain. @M5Stack

If an AI agent can turn a device into almost anything, how do you know what to ask for? A familiar shape gives you somewhere to start. At @inanimate_tech, we’ve been exploring this with Stick and Watch, off-the-shelf ESP32 dev kits from @M5Stack running our agent-generated code. A round screen suggests a clock, or a face. Two buttons on top suggest a stopwatch. Those familiar forms gave us ideas about what to ask our agent to make. @genmon made animated faces, an egg timer you could flip over, and I made a barbecue timer that became an unexpected breakthrough. The shape of the object helped us imagine what its behaviour could become. This is Prototyping: Why an “Anything” Device Needs a Familiar Shape.

本当にガチでM5StopWatchにハマってて、シルバーウィークはずっとClaude CodeとCodexを回せるだけ回して、自分もFigmaで作業して、ずっとM5StopWatchのこと考えてた… はー楽しかった、久々にこんなに欲求の赴くままに作業したかも NT東京で展示しちゃおっかな 明日から現実に戻ります

アーケードゲームっぽくしようと思い、3Dプリントしてみました。

M5ｽﾀｯｸﾁｬﾝのCoreS3からカメラ画像をリモコンに飛ばしてM5QSpiderを眺めるという贅沢な遊び。クローラのリモコンには、カメラ画像と一緒にクローラ前面に取り付けたTOFセンサと赤外線温度計の測定値を飛ばすという贅沢仕様。

M5Stack Dial Knight's、略して「ダイアル・ナイツ」。 これで外装はこんな感じで、M5Stack Dial にはこんな感じで「目」にあたる部分を表示します。 ただフル装備は思いので、重量配分を考えてみよう。 これでようやく「Ogaki Mini Maker Faire 2026」への出展申し込みが行えます。
