The Sixth Circuit put it back in force. That is the right call. Voting is a right of citizens, and registration should not run on an honor system. A signed checkbox is not the same thing as a passport, birth certificate, or naturalization papers. This should not be a one-state experiment. If a state wants honest elections, it should verify citizenship before it adds someone to the rolls.
