President Trump just announced a new executive order requiring Country of Origin Labeling on ALL foreign beef. “So this order also will require country of origin labeling across all foreign beef.”
Community note
President Trump's Executive Order does not require country of origin labeling on foreign beef. It only directs USDA and USTR to review whether or not they have the authority to require country of origin labeling for beef products. Sources: whitehouse.gov/presidential-a… x.com/FarmActionUS/s…

Problem is it's not mandatory so the Packers won't do it.

Something tells me this is going to wind up with a community note due to being misleading... It only starts a 90 day USDA review that MIGHT lead to mandatory country of origin labeling later.

Contrary to rumors, Trump’s Executive Order issued today does NOT implement Mandatory Country of Origin Labeling for beef. They’re going to study the problem until AFTER the election, and then they MAY do something about it, IF the law allows them (it does not).

But does this still allow that they only have to feed it once here in the usa and it can be labeled usa?

The EO does NOT create a legal requirement. It states: Sec. 4.  Country-of-Origin Labeling.  Within 90 days of the date of this order, the Secretary of Agriculture, in consultation with the United States Trade Representative, shall review all statutory and regulatory authorities that may permit the establishment of mandatory country-of-origin labeling for beef products and shall provide the Assistant to the President for Economic Policy with a summary of such authorities as well as an economic analysis of the impacts of mandatory country-of-origin labeling that reflects current conditions and modernized practices.  Based on these assessments, the Secretary of Agriculture, in consultation with the United States Trade Representative and the Assistant to the President for Economic Policy, may issue or amend regulations, to the extent permitted under applicable law, to require mandatory country-of-origin labeling for beef products, or may, in further coordination with the White House Office of Legislative Affairs, develop legislative recommendations regarding such labeling.

This will never happen. Only takes one judge in America to overturn the President these days. The people running the white house know that. Their donors don't want it, so you ain't getting it. This is just good optics.

No it does not. What it actually says is that they will study putting the labels on beef. If you want the truth you must seek it out yourself and read it. Relying on "the news" to tell you only produces an ill-informed mind that loses the ability to think for itself.
