This graphic outlines the four State Activation Levels (SALs) for emergency management, ordered from highest to lowest severity: 1. FULL (Red) Threshold: An incident of such magnitude that it may require response and/or recovery efforts and significant resources. Status: EOC (Emergency Operations Center) is fully staffed. 2. PARTIAL (Orange) Threshold: An incident or event requiring significant monitoring or resources. Status: Additional EOC staffing is brought in from agencies, functions, and supporting organizations. 3. ENHANCED (Yellow) Threshold: An incident or event requiring additional monitoring or resources. Status: CORE EOC staff are present, with potential augmentation from selected agencies, functions, and supporting organizations. 4. NORMAL (Green) Threshold: Routine operation with no incident or event anticipated. State Operations: 24/7 coordination & situational awareness through the MJOC (Maryland Joint Operations Center).

Different day, same hazards to talk about. Widespread moderate to major flooding will continue again today. High water levels will occur for several more high tide cycles so please remain alert for flooded roads & properties. Find your local flood timing: water.noaa.gov
Major tidal flooding is expected for the Northern Neck, northern Middle Peninsula, along the lower York River, through the James River, and for Norfolk down to Corolla. Moderate flooding is expected for Dorchester and Somerset Counties in MD, the upper York River, southern coastal Mathews, Gloucester, Poquoson, Hampton, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Northampton, and Accomack Counties. Moderate to major flooding is possible for Cambridge, with minor at Ocean City.
