VPR offers emotional support, provides referrals, and helps students & their partners/spouses navigate campus and criminal procedures. We also meet with individuals who wish to help someone they know who is experiencing harm.

Gender neutral sex education is important in order to be as inclusive and affirming as possible. This session will unpack the sociological constructions of gender and sex, how to use inclusive language, and how to talk about sex in a gender-neutral framework.

The term “Hispanic” tends to refer to folks with a connection to a Spanish-speaking country while Latinx, a nonbinary term, refers to folks who are from or have heritage in Latin America.

Both Hispanic and Latinx refer to an ethinic identity, not a race. Identity is personal and complex. Some may use these terms interchangeably and some may define them differently than defined above. We celebrate all the nuances held in these identities, cultures, and communities!
