Congratulations to Rundong Peng who tied for first place in the GSS/C-FARE Policy Communication Contest! The contest challenges graduate students to translate complex agricultural and applied economics research into clear, objective policy guidance for decision-makers.
Competitors develop a concise, evidence-based policy brief on a timely issue, with finalists advancing to deliver a 10-minute presentation that demonstrates their ability to communicate research clearly, accurately and without technical jargon.
The competition emphasizes policy relevance, analytical rigor and effective communication—skills that are increasingly essential for economists working in academia, government and industry.
Congratulations to all of our graduate and undergraduate students who graduated this spring! We wish you the best in your future and we are so grateful for the impact you have left on our program and the agriculture industry!
