Climate change is already affecting Metro-North’s Hudson Line. We’re designing the next round of protections for it. A $19.7 million contract will advance plans to improve drainage, reinforce slopes and retaining walls, and reduce flood risks between Spuyten Duyvil and Hastings-on-Hudson—a stretch used by 25,000 riders each weekday.

The 22nd elevator replacement project of 2026 is complete. The latest project brings two modernized elevators to the Prospect Park B/Q/S station: one serving the Manhattan-bound platform and one serving the Brooklyn-bound platform. 22 projects is already the second-highest annual total—and counting. 📸: Marc A. A South Bronx landmark, restored for the future. Built in 1905, the historic headhouse at 149 St–Hostos has been fully restored, while three new elevators provide step-free access to the 2, 4 and 5 trains. That makes 48 stations made fully accessible since 2020. 📸: Marc A. Hermann / MTA
