This week, we have been delighted to share the announcement of our impending merger with IFtL! However, today we would like to announce that Adrian Roger’s, our CEO, will be stepping away in July 2027. We would like to thank him for his contributions to growing Chiltern Learning Trust from a three school Trust to soon to be 43 schools. Adrian has pushed us for excellence, helped us oversee the transformation of schools and been part of our success to Trust of the Year in 2025. His teaching and leadership have touched the lives of thousands of young people! Thank you, Adrian! 💙

What an inspiring first week back across Chiltern Learning Trust! 💙 A particular highlight was visiting Gilbert Inglefield Academy and seeing the incredible transformation achieved in just one term. Refurbished buildings and grounds, a brilliant new staff team, a new curriculum and, most importantly, 650 smiling pupils! 🌟 It was also fantastic to visit Linslade School and see the impressive start made by new Headteacher Marc Comb. A brilliant start to the new academic year! 💙

The trusts are now seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chief Operating Officer (COO) to bring together best practices, establish excellent systems, and provide outstanding strategic leadership for their combined operations across 42 schools. This role has been strategically designed to provide operational leadership across both organisations regardless of the outcome of the DfE's decision. In the unlikely event that the merger does not proceed, the successful applicant will continue to lead and support collaborative working across both highly regarded trusts.
