I’m Mac. In one month, I’ll be 23. It’s been about a year since I started building my own products. So far, I’ve made more than $3,000 from them. Around $2,400 of that came in the last 2 months. But I don’t see it as 2 months of success. I see it as 12 months of learning, building, making mistakes, trying again, and slowly getting better. Right now, I’m working a 9-5 as a mobile developer with 4+ years of experience. In my free time, I build my own products. I’m also preparing to start my PhD in Turkey, which will be my first long-term move abroad. And step by step, I’m starting to build my own family too. Trying to do all of these things at the same time is not always easy. Sometimes I even sacrifice sleep for it. But I don’t want to stop improving. Seeing people like @marclou, @levelsio and @robhallam sharing their journeys online has also inspired me a lot. It reminded me that these things are possible if you keep going for long enough. I’m going to keep this post pinned here until the day I can quote it and say: I made it. For me, that means making more from the internet than I make from my 9-5, having the freedom to travel, live in different countries, and spend more of my time building things I actually care about. Just got my first paid partnership 🎉 It’s only $50, and I know that’s not a huge amount, especially since I’m still growing my audience, but I’m genuinely proud of it. I also have 2 more partnerships currently pending. When I started using social media, I thought it would simply be a place to show my products and what I’m building.
