Ban exports and refiners don’t make more diesel for you, they make LESS. Global prices spike, and fuel-importing regions like New England get crushed. It’s a logistics problem, not a supply problem. Trap that diesel at home and refiners just throttle back. Prices don’t drop. The shortage goes global, and boomerangs right back.
