Got hired to write another romcom. Yay! The company that hired me for my last one just hired me again. So excited to dig into a new one.

For what it's worth, the vast majority of projects that have moved my career forward are not projects I expected to move my career forward when we were on set and the vast majority of projects I truly thought would move the move my career forward while on set did not do a thing. Just try and do good work on everything. Make everyone's day easier. Be kind. Ya never know.

I'm truly honored to receive an award named for such a seminal Sci-Fi author.

Today marks 60 years since The Monkees first premiered on NBC. The first episode to air was “Royal Flush,” although, in true Monkees fashion, it wasn't the first one we actually filmed. Typical for us to be already out of order before people had even seen us. What followed was more than any of us could have imagined: the records, the tours, the fans, the Emmy, the reruns, the revivals, and all these years of people just like you telling me what the show and the music have meant to them. Tonight, I get to celebrate that anniversary in the city where it all began. I’ve auditioned for The Pitt 3 times. I auditioned for Spider-Noir 4 times and was pinned for 3 different roles. Didn’t get any of them. But… I auditioned for The Burbs 3 times and then they just offered me a 4th role. You gotta look at every audition as an excuse to inhabit a character and do the work you love. Every good audition is just another reason for them to try and find something you’re right for. Or at least that’s what I keep telling myself as I drink away the pain.

I was 12 when my dad’s little sister let us watch Rocky Horror and it completely blew my mind, the music, the look of it and everything. But Tim Curry as Dr Frank-N-Furter was something else.. cheeky, dangerous and magnetic. I still think about that performance more than almost any other. I’d love to play that role one day but he set a bar so high it feels almost unfair, some roles just belong to one person ✨. RIP Tim. What a performance ❤️

Been incredibly lucky to have projects play Fantasia, Fantastic Fest, and Beyond Fest this year, among others. Probably my three favorite film festivals. So I wanted to say one thing. The Crossing Over Express, which without a doubt did more for my career than any other project, was rejected by all of them. Nobody knows anything. Keep making cool stuff. Festivals can be super discouraging, but they aren’t everything. And next year you might get into all of them…
