Congress: Consider eliminating the charitable tax deduction; problem solved with NGOs and college endowments! Worthy charitable organizations will survive. Most American taxpayers can't use charitable, SALT, etc. deductions given the high standard deduction. Just reduce rates.

Can anyone help find out why the Government Accounting Office (GAO) has not been finding all the abuses in federal spending? Why is DOGE now having to do it? Perhaps the GAO needs to come under the DOGE microscope? What about all the agencies' IGs (Inspector Generals)?
