I want to thank BMO Bank U.S. President, Aron Levine and BMO Head, U.S. Commercial Bank Tony Sciarrino for allowing me to be the keynote speaker at their executive dinner tonight where they hosted 60 CEOs and their spouses from around the country at Pelican Hill Resort.

I remember when Dr. Jerry Buss was building the Showtime Lakers and searching for someone who could bring a unique presence to the organization as a PA announcer. He wanted a voice that was powerful, memorable, and distinct – that was Lawrence Tanter.   As someone who was both a fan and a friend of Lawrence when he was disc jockey on multiple jazz radio stations in Los Angeles, long before he stepped behind the Lakers microphone, I could not have been happier. For more than 40 years, his baritone voice was the sound of the Lakers franchise and he was an integral part of many Laker Championships, right alongside us players. He will be missed by more than just Lakers fans, Lawerence will be missed by the entire jazz community who loved his music and velvet voice. Rest in peace my friend!

Today the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art opened in Los Angeles’s Exposition Park! I want to thank George Lucas and his wife Mellody Hobson for creating this beautiful gift for the world to see.

A big, big thank you to the owners of the Detroit Tigers, the Ilitch family, for taking care of my family during the Tigers vs. Dodgers series this weekend. My family said that the food and experience at Comerica Park were absolutely spectacular! I also want to thank the Ilitch family for revitalizing downtown Detroit - between Comerica Park and Little Caesars Arena (home to the Red Wings and Pistons), they’ve brought so much life back to the city and created thousands of jobs along the way. And by the way, I never got the chance to tell them that I grew up eating Little Caesars pizza!
